Euphorbia columnaris, commonly called "Horn Column Kylin Euphorbia" or "牛角圆柱麒麟", is an impressive species in the Euphorbiaceae family native to the arid regions of Somalia. Its most distinctive feature is its thick, upright cylindrical stems that grow in a clustered or solitary manner, closely resembling sturdy ox horns—hence its "牛角" (ox horn) common name. The stems are succulent, smooth, and range in color from deep green to bluish-green, with subtle longitudinal ridges that enhance their cylindrical form. They emerge from a robust, somewhat swollen base that provides stability and stores water, creating a bold, architectural silhouette ideal for adding vertical interest to succulent collections.
